| These beautiful Chital deer (Axis axis), or Kwang dao in Thai, were being raised on a pasture of mixed forages at a resort in Kanchanaburi Province. The deer park was established and managed by the late Dr John Henshaw. When the above photograph was taken (1998) it was the best managed deer farm in Thailand. Sadly not long after this photograph was taken, Dr John passed away. I do not know what is the status of the deer park these days.
